Mythic Fantasy
An ancient world. A history written in fire. And the human cost of the legends that survive.
I’m Zana Adeli, a writer and narrative designer working in worldbuilding, character-driven storytelling, cinematic narrative and original IP development for film, television, animation and games.
Six disciplines, one habit: begin with what the audience should feel, then build the world that makes it inevitable.
Histories, institutions and beliefs that shape how people behave, not a backdrop that waits for them.
Characters defined by what they want, what they fear and what they will pay to keep.
Story shaped for the medium, so that structure, pacing and player or viewer agency work together.
Scenes written to be seen: image, silence and subtext doing the work that exposition cannot.
Concepts with a clear core and room to grow across film, series, animation and games.
Pressure applied with intent, so every turn costs something and every choice leaves a mark.
Three original projects, offered as glimpses rather than summaries. The rest is best shared in conversation.
An ancient world. A history written in fire. And the human cost of the legends that survive.
Out on the edge of the known universe, every unlikely partnership has a story of its own.
A title held back on purpose. Details are shared in conversation.
Spectacle gets attention. Emotional truth is what keeps it.
Mythology matters when you can see it in how people eat, argue, grieve and worship.
A decision only counts if it costs something, and the story remembers what it cost.
Every reveal, silence and escalation is placed for the person experiencing it.
I write stories I want to live inside: places with real history, and people who have to live with what they choose.
My focus is original worlds and characters, told cinematically and shaped for the medium, whether that is a screen or an interactive one. I like the early, formative stage of a project, where the questions are still open and the right collaborators make the work sharper.
If you are building something and need a writer who thinks in both story and system, I would be glad to talk.
I’m open to conversations about narrative development, original concepts and writing collaborations. Tell me what you are making.
